Being a college student has its perks, and “non-perks”, so to speak. In a previous blog post, I talked about the ways saving money in college is a really tricky thing, but done wisely, can save you so much. One thing that should be taken advantage of by all college students are the Student ID Discounts given by many different stores all over.

Different categories of stores, such as clothes and food, give these savings, you just have to know where to look. You are in luck, because I’m here to share what I know.

Clothes are a huge part of the college stigma and stores even know it. Looking good for class or even the party on Saturday is crucial for the college lifestyle and many stores have the hook-up. Here is a list of a bunch of chain company stores located everywhere and anywhere:

Charlotte Russe – All Charlotte Russe stores offer 10% off on all merchandise to any student with a valid college ID.

Eastern Mountain Sports – Shopping for sports gear? Eastern Mountain Sports will give you students 20% off full-priced merchandise!

The Limited– This classy wear offers college students with a valid ID 15% off on every in store purchase. What a deal!

Banana Republic – Go bananas over 15% off at Banana Republic with just flashing a college ID.

TopShop : Get some tops at TopShop with 10% off all in store and online purchases!

Necessary Clothing : Clearly clothing is necessary in college, so Necessary Clothing has all your needs. They are giving us college students a 20% discount on all online purchases of $100 or more and we all know how easy it is to online shop.

Now that we know some discounts on popular clothing stores and websites, it is time for a college students dream: food discounts:

Subway – A popular favorite by many. For me personally, I could eat Subway any meal of the day and be happy. At participating venues, Subway gives 10% off your total purchase with the flash of an ID card.

Burger King – We know we’ve all been there. Burger King give college students 10% off on their purchase, again with the flash of a valid college ID.

Chipolte – Yes, the fast food God’s have spoken. At participating Chipolte restaurants, with a valid student ID, this yummy place will give all college students a free beverage with your purchase.

I know, these deals are hard to beat. There are a number of supply stores, such Amazon, who offer a two-day shipping for college students. I’ve used Amazon so much more since I’ve been at school, because it has all the great deals on items from beauty products to books and games. Also, some awesome phone cases can be found here, and for all you smartphone users, they are crucial.
